Apple Watch Series 6 – Specifications

The Apple Watch Series 6 was unveiled at an Apple special event on September 15, 2020, and began shipping on September 18, 2020.

It has a sensor that can tell how much oxygen is in the blood. This is the primary distinction from its predecessor.

A new S6 CPU, which is up to 20% faster than the S4 and S5, a 2.5-brighter always-on display, and an always-on altimeter are among the other features.

The S6 has a third-generation optical heart rate sensor, as well as better telecommunications technology, like Apple’s U1 processor and the ability to connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

The Series 6 watch has been improved with faster charging circuitry, allowing it to charge in less than 1.5 hours.

The hardware for Force Touch has been gone, as has all Force Touch capabilities in watchOS 7. Product Red and Navy Blue case colors were added to the Series 6 watch.

At its September 2020 product launch event, Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch SE, a lower-cost device.

The SE has the same always-on altimeter as the Series 6, but it has a previous-generation S5 processor and a previous-generation (i.e., second) optical heart rate sensor. It also lacks ECG and blood oximiter sensors, as well as UWB and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection capabilities.
